How coverage actually works
We do not run branches. There is one fleet, it is based in Texas, and it goes where the work is. That means the question is never whether we cover your city — it is what transport costs to get a machine to your site and whether the site can take it once it arrives. A job three hours out with good highway access and a place to unload is easier and cheaper than one an hour away at the end of a soft caliche two-track.
What transport means for your budget
Transport is not included in dedicated mulcher rental rates. That single line item is the main reason distance shows up in your quote, and it is also the reason the monthly rate is often the better buy on anything outside your immediate area: one transport cost spread across four weeks of work instead of one. The CAT 275 XE is meaningfully cheaper to move than a dedicated tracked carrier, which is part of why it wins on smaller and more scattered jobs. On the turnkey side the arithmetic is simpler — skid steer turnkey is $3,000 a day with transport included, and high horsepower turnkey is $4,000 a day plus transport. Vegetation changes what you should rent
Region matters less for logistics than it does for the machine choice. Hill Country work is dominated by mature ashe juniper, which is dense, resinous and slow — high horsepower territory. South Texas brings mesquite and huisache, thorny and multi-stemmed, hard on a head but manageable at a decent clip. East Texas is largely yaupon understory beneath mature pine, where the constraint is usually working around the trees you are keeping rather than raw production. West Texas and the Permian corridors are mesquite again, on larger and more open tracts where production rate is the whole game. Clearing by job type
Some projects are easier to scope by the job than by the county.
