The Highland Lakes country adds a variable the rest of the Hill Country does not have: granite. We would rather tell you a face needs a hand crew than find the limit on your ground.

On a rental you are responsible for the machine, which is exactly why we ask about rock before quoting rather than after. If you know the tract has ledges or surface granite, say so. It changes what we send and how it is priced, and that conversation is much cheaper before the work than after it.
Not from the stumps. Ashe juniper does not resprout when cut at ground level, so the clearing is permanent for those stems. Seedlings will come from seed already in the soil, and on thin rocky ground they establish slowly, which is one genuine advantage of this country over the deeper soils east of here.
