Three classes, three transport realities
CAT 275 XE, tow it yourself
The 275 XE with FAE head loads on a heavy tag or gooseneck trailer behind a properly rated 1-ton pickup. Qualified renters can self-transport, the cheapest mobilization in the fleet, or we deliver. Check your truck’s ratings and your trailer brakes honestly; this combination is at the top of what a pickup should pull.

The Barko 930B, Tigercat M726G, and Weiler M860A require RGN/heavy-haul service with oversize/overweight permits. Permits mean routing surveys, sometimes escort requirements, and lead time, plan a week or more for remote or far-west projects. We coordinate all of it and quote transport as one delivered number.
What drives the price
- Distance from the nearest staging yard to your site, the dominant factor.
- Permits and escorts for oversize loads (high-HP only).
- Site access: a load that needs a second truck repositioned or a machine walked in from the county road costs more than a drop at a good pad.
- Round trips: remember it’s two hauls: delivery and pickup.
Preparing your site for delivery
- Gate width and overhead: a lowboy needs a wide swing and clear overhead lines at the entrance. Measure the gate; check the power drop.
- Ground conditions: a loaded RGN will bury itself in wet caliche or sand. Have a firm unload point, road base, a pad, or dry pasture.
- Turnaround: the truck has to leave too. A pull-through path beats a 20-point turn in every case.
- Pin the location: rural gates don’t have addresses. Send GPS coordinates of the actual gate, not the ranch headquarters.
